Imagine…
You’re watching the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
Its now time for the 100-meter dash
You got the fastest humans on the planet, ready to show who’s the actual fastest person alive.
The crowd’s anticipation is building…theres a real excitement in the air.
“On your mark. Get set.”
BANG!
And they’re off…
Ten seconds later, well, more like 9.81 seconds later, the race is over.
Gold. Silver. Bronze.
The whole crowd applauds for the gold medalist, Usain Bolt!
He gets all the wealth and fame.
Pop quiz: who won the silver medal? The bronze?
The silver and bronze medalists are forgotten.
Almost nobody remembers them, except those who truly follow the sport.
So let me ask you this…
How much did Usain win by?
Often, it’s a few tenths of a second which is basically an inch.
One inch.
One inch is the difference between winning and losing.
One inch is the difference between eternal glory and becoming forgotten within a few days.
And it’s the same in business, especially in land investing.
Sometimes the difference between someone with all the money and someone that is struggling financially is just one inch.
that 1 inch can mean a few more mailers or text messages sent to acquire property.
It could also be a few more follow ups for leads who are looking to buy a lot from you.
So, is it possible for someone, only 1% smarter than you, to have 100x more money than you?
From my experience, yes – it is.
In reality, they only need to have a very small advantage — just a slight edge…that 1 inch.
So, you may be wondering, how does a person get that slight edge?
Here’s what I tell my fellow investors in my group…
Read a lot of books, purchase programs, go to events, surround yourself with positive people, learn from a mentor, and get outside of your comfort zone.
its a simple, but tried and true formula.
For me, my first slight edge came when I found my first mentor, Ken Dinkins.
Ive had other coaches before, but Ken really pushed me.
He taught me my first High-Income Skill, how to really sell land.
What I learnt from him in just a few months would have taken me years to learn without him.
And he gave me tough love when I needed to get out of my comfort zone…
So, what about you?
How are you going to find your slight edge?
P.S. One of the best ways to get your slight edge is to be ready to take action when the timing is right.
