Last night I got my @$$ kicked, and what that means for you

So last night was rough.

Now, you may not have understood me since I lost my voice from all the screaming…

But my basketball team lost 72 to 14…

I’m not sure of the exact amount the other team had since I stopped caring about their score, but yeah…

Here’s the thing, the ladies I coach was prepared for the game, but sometimes our own mind gets in the way.

What do I mean by that?

Well, the team we played was from the #1 school in northern California…and one of the top teams in the state.

Just to give you context, there are 3,892 high schools in CA!!

So yeah…the team we played is very good.

While I was not expecting a win since I have a lot of new players this year, I was hoping to see a few things.

Namly, how well do the ladies compete and if we can try implement our game plan.

While the ladies did compete, they did not implement the game plan….

Here’s the thing tho, after the game, the team felt they beat themselves…

They made the opponent seem like a big scary monster before they even seen what they could actually do!

Their negative images they put into their own mind caused a lot of the players to act differently and make simple mental errors.

No amount of begging, pleading, cheering, or yelling could get them to “be normal”

Now, you may be wondering what this has to do with you and land investing.

Well, how many times have you had a plan or idea to get started land investing in an area for you to freeze up and not do it?

How many opportunities did you let slip away because the work seemed too hard?

How many times did a friend or family member talk you out of investing in land because of silly reasons?

Ya see, we are all susceptible to this mental boogeymen.

We can talk ourselves out of good things because of the stuff we make up about the work that needs to be done.

We often convince ourselves that things are not what they seem without even seeing for ourselves!

So, what can you do when you start to recognize that you are falling into the mental boogeyman’s trap?

1) just breathe…make sure you take a deep breath so you don’t start to get your self all worked up by negative thoughts

2) remind yourself that you have prepared yourself for this moment…you already read my emails and watch my training, so you are ready!

3) Focus on taking 1 baby step. Don’t think about anything else but getting that 1 baby step done.

Then focus on the next baby step. Repeat this until you are done.

This will slowly get you to the end of the process without you having the “time” to think about possible “what if” scenarios

While getting this advice probably helped you, I’m sure you would like someone to walk you thru the whole land investing process.

If that’s what you are looking for, then you are in luck, because that’s exactly what I do.

If you want to see if working with me would be a good fit
