Its Hard to Flourish When In Survival Mode

No photo description available.

I remember in 2019 and early 2020, I was broke.

I stopped land investing, I thought I could make it as an internet marketer and I was failing hard.

Here’s the thing, when you’re struggling financially…
All you can see is the next paycheck, or the next few dollars that you need to make.
This is called survival mode…you can’t think about future or long-term plans when you are worried about how you gonna make it to the end of the month.

It’s impossible to look more than a few feet ahead of you.
That’s why many people try to get into some sort of side hustles where the promise is that you won’t need to invest anything and you will get rich.

This includes internet marketing, wholesaling, and FBA.
In reality, we are attracted at the “get rich quick scheme” because that’s what it is.

Its not bad to want a get rich quick scheme because in survival mode we want to
✅ Pay bills
✅ Finally be able to go out again guilt free
✅ Get the fancy watch or new Js
✅ Get a brand-new whip
But I can tell you from experience, the get rich quick thing doesn’t work for most people
So, while things are better now, I’m not exactly where I want to be…
That means the same tendencies can creep back in my mind even tho I haven’t been in survival mode in many years.

So, to fight that off, I have to remind myself to think ahead…
Make real plans with action steps, goals, and metrics to track my progress on said goals.

Use what little discipline I have to automate my land investing so I don’t have to rely on discipline.

(you ever notice how disciplined you can be when your back is against the wall, but as soon as you have some breathing room, you get lazy again?? Lololol)
Then reinvest the winnings until the warchest grows bigger and bigger and bigger.
Behind the scenes I’m growing my warchest
I have an initial goal to have around $50k for land investing, all built from prior land investments.

You know how much I started with?

$6k.

After paying bills, mortgage, and continuing to chip away at credit card debt, that’s all I could do.

but, with that $6k (and some extra cash I had to get from other methods), I have around 25k in assets thanks to consistent effort to find great and low-cost land deals.

The great part is, you can see how quickly one can get to said goal if they stay consistent.

Having these skills is real finical freedom.
So, make your money.
Get rich.
But if you want to have that level of freedom…you need to build your skillset.
If you are chasing money and not skills, well, it will be hard for you to get out of survival mode (or to level up)
