Well, let me give you an example.
As you already know, I am a avid hooper…
I coach basketball and play it a few times a week.
I even pay to play in adult leagues!
One time, I arrived to one of my adult league games pretty late.
Im in my 40s now, so I like to arrive early to give me ample time to warm up my body.
If I go out there without a proper warm up, I’ll probably pull something, break something or just have a bad time in general.
(this is one of the draw backs of getting older)
I not only want to warm up, but I want to get into a nice shoot rhythm and clear my mind so I can play the best that I can.
Anyway, since I got to the game late, I didn’t get a chance to warm up and started playing right away.
Since I work out regularly, I did not injure myself, but boy did I play terribly!
I couldn’t make shots, I couldn’t guard my opponent…hell I could barely catch the ball!
Even though this is a meaningless adult league game, I still was pissed off at my performance.
The whole ride home, I just reflecting on the game and how bad I looked!
Not to mention, I was really sore after playing…so it was a bad combination
That night, I was so frustrated and sore that I couldn’t sleep!
This is how one bad decision can cascade into a bunch of bad events.
The same happens in land investing too…
For example, A bad decision to over pay for property will have cascading effects that will have you in a world of hurt.
This means that when its time to sell, you dont make as much (or any) money from the investment
You have to hold on to property longer having you miss out on other opportunities
Hell, the money tied up in land may cause you to not pay the bills that come each month!
You see how this works?
This means from the start, its important to make good decisions since future success depends on what you do early on in the process.
The good news is that its pretty easy to avoid the bad decisions, but the bad news is, so many people are unaware of the bad land investing decisions they make!
