I remember after I had great momentum in land investing…I did something stupid
I jumped in to affiliate marketing.
why?
well, I was actually looking for ways to improve my sales and marketing skills
In my search to find sales training, I stumbled upon an affiliate marketing course.
So, like what many of us do, I got excited at the thought of “easier passive income!”
and “I also have multiple streams of income!”
Ha!
What a fool I was…as if it was that easy!
Anyway, I went all in and opted into the most expensive package!
$15k to get the training, elite mastermind calls, funnel reviews, live events, and all types of other stuff.
Now, was that worth $15k?
Yes and no, but that’s a story for a different day.
Anyway, since I was part of live mastermind calls, I got to know the other students who invested in the same course at the same level.
And I realized that some days I would feel like shit after the call was done.
All because I would compare myself to other students and the guys running the program.
Here’s the thing tho, you can’t compare yourself to the leaders, other students or anyone else…
Some have a LOT more time invested in their training.
Some have paid a higher price in other areas of their life, and now they are reaping the rewards
And others just pick up certain topics faster.
But, does any of those things have a real reflection on you?
Of course not!!
But, because of how our mind works, we interpret neutral things as good or bad
Right or wrong.
Black or white.
and so, we start to make up stories about stuff that shouldn’t have any meaning to us.
Have you ever said “well, that’s easy for you to say, you got X,Y Z!”
Or ” I bet they got to where they are by (insert negative thing)”
If so then you can see how you made up some bullshit to help yourself feel better about something that didn’t involve you
The point is, dont compare yourself to others, even if you are learning side by side with someone else who started when you did
We all have our strengths and weaknesses, and none of them have anything to do with anyone else.
So, just focus on what you gotta do to get toward your goals, and dont worry about anyone else’s progress!
